It's Halloween Time!

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I love the idea of getting to dress up and pretend you are someone else! I had a lot of fun this halloween season with all my friends, cousins and the kids I take care of!
During the day I take care of two wild, fun little boys! The week of halloween we had fun making halloween crafts- we made spiders and ghosts out of lollipops and if that wasn't enough we decided to make scary masks as well! Only one of the boys got into the craft mode :) The other boy is a little too young and had fun eating the candy!
Another one of my favorite traditions is going to a Halloween dance, I LOVE to dance, not very good at it, but I always have fun- so I got my two best friends and we headed off to the institute dance, one of my really good friends Emily also came with and we had a great time!!!

That next day I went and spent Saturday and Sunday with my cousins and some of our friends at their timeshare in wolf creek! We had a blast carving pumpkins... i forgot one so Bethany was kind enough to let me take her pumpkin guts out for her and crave an eye :) Poor Rachel broke the stem off her pumpkin which is her favorite part... it was a sad moment! And Jeff amazed us with his pumpkin carving skills using his machette knife!

We also had fun playing games, eating TONS of junk food, attempting to make caramel apples, hot tubbing, wearing each others costumes and having Rachel make us Butterbeer!

The weekend before Halloween one of my friends had a bonfire off the old snowbasin road... unfortunately I had no idea where that was, so in attempts to find the bonfire we got a little lost and came upon a very very scary house which we decided was Draculas castle! It was very comical as we had to dive past twice and Michelle, Brittany and I are screaming our heads off out of fear. Well, we decided on Halloween to go drive past the house during the daytime to see how scary it really was! It is still pretty scary and I am still believe Dracula is who lives there-Don't worry though we have been taught by Twilight how to fight Vampires ;)

I loved this Halloween season and am sad that it went by so fast, however, that means we are that much closer to Christmas!!

Final Caligraphy Piece!

For the past semester I have been taking a Caligraphy class at Weber State and i have LOVED it! :) Learning Caligraphy was one of my wishes for while I was in China, unfortunately, we ran out of time- So here I am now fulfilling my dream!
I really enjoyed making my final piece, I was able to incorporate some of my favorite pictures of China so that it represents more of who I am!

On the bigger picture it says Zhongshan(the city I lived in) China 2010 and my Chinese name is in the upper right!
This is the symbol for Love!

And this is the symbol for Laughter!

Two words that perfectly describe my experience in China! It was a lot of work putting it together, however, I am excited with how it all turned out! :)
