More of the Little Rugrats!!

Every morning as we head to breakfast we pass our cute little kids out practicing this hula hoop dance. They are really cute dancing and we were always curious about what they were doing until last week. All the kindergarten classes had to compete, and it was fun because we got to go watch them.
We walked into the performance room and our kids got so excited that we came to watch, it made me happy!!
Photobucket
This is James, who I just love and he is the cutest dancer! the whole time he had the biggest smile on his face and he everything perfect.
PhotobucketIt was fun going to watch the kids, I felt like a proud little mother going around with my camera taking pictures of my kids! And it was fun to have them so excited to see us there!
Photobucket
Afterwards we had time to take some fun pictures with them
These are three of our girls, Minnie, Kitty and Betty!! :) They are so adorable,

Here is me with Bella, she is also in my class. She doesn't say much in class but she likes to act out what she is trying to tell me

Our Adventure To Walmart

Everyday in China has some sort of adventure to it, even if it is being stuck outside for 30 minutes and trying to communicate with the guards to let you into your dorm or trying to order what you want at the restraunts! We recently went on a fun little adventure to Walmart, that is right- we have a walmart only 30 minutes away from us!!
Andrea felt like we had dressed up for the occasion- don't we look like a pirate and sailor heading out to sea?
Photobucket
Chinas Walmart puts Americas Walmart to shame :) First off Walmart sent a bus to our school to just pick the 13 of us up and take us to Walmart for free. And as we got close we come around the corner we see this beautiful castle looking building with a glowing dome on top and yes it was Walmart!
Photobucket
We were all really excited because we heard you could get Macaroni and Cheese there! We are not sure why we wanted that so bad or why we were so excited about it but we were!
My pictures just don't do justice of how cool this building was, but it was really amazing

I love this picture of Andrea, because she is so excited and just ate a blue dum dum sucker! :)
Its funny how excited we were about going to Walmart :) It was a fun adventure but going inside was nothing extremely special! It was not like Walmart at home at all but just like another supermarket! :) Joey found DDR and was able to compete on that for awhile and we drew a crowd! We also all bought reusable bags that say Walmart in Chinese! :) Reusable Bags are quite the fashion here since you have to pay for plastic- so we all have lots of fun different bags!!

The Beauty of Church in China

Every Sunday in China feels like such a blessing to me! Because our group has 4 guys in it we have been given permission to hold sacrament here in Zhongshan!
Photobucket
We actually have a group of ILP teachers about 20 minutes away who live in much nicer conditions than us, so we walk down to church every Sunday and hold it there. In total we have 4 groups about 35 people in one little living room holding sacrament meeting together. Its so neat to be sitting in a living room and looking out your window and realizing your having church in China!
Photobucket
Living in America with all our freedoms and especially in Utah, we are so blessed to know of this gospel and to have church's everywhere around. We have made a friend with one of the guards here named Seth who everyday tells us how Happy we are and wishes the people here in China could be as happy as we are. He told our head teacher Tiffany that we have something special about us and he wants to know what we know that makes us different. She has a picture of Christ in her wallet that he saw and he asked who it was and she told him it was Christ. Instantly he knew he could ask no more questions but he wanted so bad to know more about our Church and Our Savior and we want him to know just as badly.
It will be so wonderful when the Church opens up here in China, there are so many people here ready for it, and we hope to be able to teach and talk to them again when this day happens.

The apartment buildings we have church in are in a beautiful area. Andrea and I like to stay after church and write in our journals over there since it is SO BEAUTIFUL!

The Wonderful Day of Head Massages!!

So, because of the converter adaptor situation we have to deal with here, we have burnt out every straightner everyone brought with them and all but one blow dryer. Because of this everyday is ponytail day :D
Well, this weekend we thought it would be fun for one day to have our hair styled, and it was the most amazing thing I have ever had done!!
Photobucket
They washed it twice and conditioned it and massaged your head the whole time! It was so blissful :D and it lasted for about 20 wonderful minutes, it is very addicting!
Photobucket
Waiting to have my hair styled! I love the head wrap he he! It was actually really cool and I want to learn how to do it! This was so much fun because all of us had our heads massaged even the boys and they loved it too!
Photobucket
This would be the man that styled my hair, he has a sweet hair do huh? Its weird because here in China the girls wash and massage your hair and then it is the guys who style and cut it, and they all have a distinct look to them
Photobucket
The outcome! We were pretty happy with it :D
Photobucket
The outcome of the group! Pay particular attention to the boys hair :D They got it done Asian style!!
Photobucket
Yes, another lion/dragon!! We just wanted to take a picture with our hair done and we like them so much!

Visiting Mr. Zhongshan

Last weekend we had kung fu lessons!! We have to have the lessons at another school further into the city, so we actually do kung fu with other ILP teachers. It was such a fun experience but it kicked our butts!! We all thought it would be fun and easy but five minutes into class we were already unable to move! Then at the end he tells us we are really bad and need to practice everyday!! Even though we were all in pain after it was so much fun we can’t wait for our next lesson!
By the school there is this huge statue of Mr Zhongshan, and we decided even in pain and sore to climb up all the stairs and take pictures!
Photobucket
Practicing our Kung Fu moves!!
Photobucket
These dragon/lion statues are Everywhere- No sure exactly what they mean, but we like them!

Photobucket
Us with Mr. Zhongshan! I learned his name once, but I can never remember it
The statue was really neat and fun to hike up to, but it is what met us at the top that made our day!
Photobucket
A ton of Chinese tourists were there taking pictures and as soon as they saw us, one girl asked to have her picture with us and then we got attacked by them all!!
For about 20 minutes they kept taking pictures with us, they particularly liked Andreas blond hair!
Photobucket
We were laughing during this because sometimes we forget that we stand out from everyone else! We decided to play Where’s Waldo 
Photobucket
It is fun how everyday is some type of adventure, just hiking up to a statue was so much fun and having our pictures taken made our day!!

The Little Rascalls

First, I hope you noticed the amazement of my blog having pictures :D My room-mate is a genius and she is my favorite person at the moment :D
Photobucket
Since I am able to put photos on I wanted to show pictures of all my cute kids I teach! They are all crazy and wild but yet we love them!! I teach three different groups of 8 everyday for 3 hours straight! Its pretty exhausting when we are done, but when we go to lunch and they all yell Teacher, Teacher! It makes you happy that you teach them and you remember that you Love them!! :D
Photobucket
My crazy homeroom! I have 8 kids in my homeroom and they are all wild!! They were all happy when I pulled the camera out, but by the time I took the picture I think they were bored!
Photobucket
Kitty!! The most stylish 6 year old! Everyday she has on the cutest outfits!
Photobucket
The kids love to pretend fight- this would be them in action about ready to attack me
Photobucket
Charlie is one of my trouble makers!! He gets this evil look on his face and starts yelling at you in chinese whenever you ask him to do something! But then at times he can be really cute! He misses his mom a lot- so I think thats why he is always acting up
I love all the kids and it is hard to see that some of them stay here all week without their parents! Next week we get to start helping put them to bed, I'm really excited!
